SPRING/SUMMER 2020 PROGRAM
Team Overview - This young team won multiple tournament championships over the Summer of 2019. Under the guidance of great coaches and supportive parents, we are looking to have a great 2020 Spring and Summer.
Spring Overview - Spring season will consist of 2 practices per week and weekly Howard County Games. The spring will also consist of one spring Thaw tournament in Bethesda, MD.
Summer Overview - The Summer will consist of two practices per week and 3 tournaments. This Spring and summer will prepare the team to succeed on the lacrosse field
The objective our Youth teams is to provide instruction and competition to help our players build skills and improve their performance.
Tryouts - Word of Grace Athletic Field, 13832 Redskin Drive in Herndon
- Sunday, January 19 2:30-4:00
- Wednesday, January 21 6:30-8:00
- Sunday, January 26 2:30-4:00
Practices & Scrimmages - Practices or scrimmages will be twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will participate in the Howard County League as well as one Spring Thaw tournament in the Spring.
Tournaments - The following tournaments are planned for the Summer. NOTE that this is subject to change:
- March Kickoff -- March 14
- Future Champions Tournament in West Deptford, NJ -- May 24-25
- NXT Blue Hen in Frederica, DE -- June 13-14
- Shore Wars in Virginia Beach, VA -- June 20-21
- Hogan Hershey in Hershey, PA -- July 11-12
Fees - The cost for Spring/Summer youth programs includes both the Spring & Summer lacrosse programs, uniforms, fields, coaches salaries, tournament entry fees, balls, referees, etc. Cavalier Lacrosse believes in providing quality lacrosse to all families regardless of their financial position. Please contact us if you wish to play but need financial assistance.
FALL PROGRAM 2019
Overview - Fall is the offseason for lacrosse and we encourage the kids to play other sports. Therefore, the structure of the Cav fall program will be Sundays-only so that it doesn’t conflict with football. The objective our Youth teams is to provide instruction and competition to help our players build skills and improve their performance.
Location - Cavalier Park 1002 E Market Street in Leesburg
Practices & Scrimmages - Practices or scrimmages will be once per week on Sundays from 9/1 through approximately 11/15. We anticipate playing games in Bethesda, MD and some games locally in Loudoun County. All Practices at Cavalier Park.
Tournaments - The following tournaments are planned for the fall.
- Jarettesville, MD -- 10/19
- West Chester, PA -- 11/2
- Williamsburg, VA -- 11/17
Speed & Agility Training - Cavs 2028 fall program includes weekly speed and agility training. All training will be held at Cavs Park.
Weekly Box League - The team will play in a local Fall box league
Weekly Clinics - Additional training once a week for all positions. Open to all registered players.
