Welcome to Cavalier Lacrosse
Overview:
Northern Virginia is the home to the Cavalier Lacrosse Club, a non-profit 501 3(c) corporation, featuring a staff of five former UVA starters. Cavalier Lacrosse Club has quickly established itself as the premier summer and fall lacrosse program in Northern Virginia. Cavalier Lacrosse Club's players represent 15 different high schools and come from all over Northern Virginia including Ashburn, Leesburg, Herndon, Reston, South Riding and Chantilly. We provide individual lacrosse instruction and our summer camp sells out every year. Our goal is to prepare our players to play in college. Each player will receive lots of personal attention in order to improve their individual skill sets. Our coaching staff is unrivaled, featuring five former UVA standouts who truly understand the college recruiting process. Our coaches have a vast network of contacts throughout major college lacrosse programs.

U9/U11 - 12:00 to 1:30 at Mill Run

Parents - We will have two check-in locations - one at Mill Run four the youth teams and one at Eagle Ridge for the high school teams. To expedite check-in, please have your sons last name written on a piece of athletic tape and applied to the front of his helmet. This helps the coaches with evaluations.

Cavalier Fall Youth Tryouts Announced
Cavalier Lacrosse Fall Select tryouts will begin on Sunday 8/18 and run through Sunday 9/8. If you are interested, please register at www.cavalierlacrosse.com and click "Register Online".
Tryout Location - Mill Run Elementary School [Please note Mill Run ES and Eagle Ridge MS share the same fields and parking lots]

Practices - Practices are on Sundays starting after Labor Day.
Fees - There will be a $35 tryout fee. Rostered players have a team fee is $199. There will be a minimum of 2 tournaments in the Fall, which will cost $150 each and a $70 uniform fee for new players. For returning players, we will use the uniforms you received during the summer.

Cav U13 Team wins the Battle of Bull Run Tournament
The Cav program has now won 4 tournaments this summer, and were the runner up in another. Over the past two years, the Cavs have won 8 tournaments and have established themselves as one of the top club programs in the country.

Steele Stanwick joins the Cavalier Staff
On August 14th, Steele will be doing a clinic for us, which will be one of several he will conduct. More details will follow.
In his first year at Virginia, Steele was named ACC Rookie of the Year after setting a points record for UVA freshmen with 58 points (36 goals, 22 assists). In his second year, he improved his total with 29 goals and 32 assists for 61 points, which was fifth amongst all ACC players that year. That year, Steele was named a Second-Team All-American. In 2011, he scored 32 goals and completed 38 assists, including an unprecedented 20 points over a three-game stretch in the NCAA tournament, leading the Cavaliers to their fifth NCAA championship. Steele was named a First-Team All-American and won the Tewaaraton Trophy as the nation's best college lacrosse player.
He was drafted 2nd overall in the 2012 MLL Collegiate Draft by the Ohio Machine. During the 2012 MLL season, he played in 9 games for the Machine and led all rookies in assists with 17.
